I gonna be honest, I don't even know why I have downloaded this game in the first place. Guess I was excited about the single player campaign which was made by Remedy, but at the time of launch, the story mode wasn't even available. Since there are no achievements related to that mode and as many outlets said, it's poor quality doesn't help on this multiplayer shooter either, I think I'll give it a pass. As for the rest of the multiplayer mode, I'm just speechless. I didn't expect a genre renewal game here, but this is just pure lazyness packed into 6 GBs of data. The modern mode, point capturing gamemode is boring. The levels are small and very badly designed, equally creating a chance for both sides to sit and kill the enemy team at their spawn points. The addition of special abilites might be able to fix this issues somehow, but the whole game is just... I don't know, feels bad to play. Gunplay is weak, aiming is not that forgiving, there is no balance between guns whatsoever, and the list goes on. If some of the rich guys have the minigun, that's basicly a game over for the opponent team, because the godlike fire rate and magazin size is something you simply cannot match. The Typewriter is almost the same, you can easily headshot every enemy who are near you. Going a 4-5 killstreak is like a morning breakfast with this gun. And every mode has one map, there is simply no variety in content at the moment of speaking. Nano mode is also an unbalanced mess, where the zombies have a high amount of health and they can respawn almost immediately, infinitely. On the other hand, if the survivor team has one guy with a minigun, they can just simply camp into a room and from that point the match is done. The zombies have no chance for a win.

It is a fairly easy completion and since it's part of GamePass i cannot be angry with the devs or this game, but clearly, this product has no future. I honestly don't know why Microsoft put their faith into this one. Who did they want to win with this title? It clearly has nothing to do with the original, classic game. If you are looking for an easy 1000G, it worth a try, at least now while there are still players hanging around. Otherwise, play something much-much better, like Counter-Strike.

SilentJay76I quite enjoyed the campaign, for what it's worth. Good job, Remedy. Not sure where all the hate is coming from.

CrossfireX, a Bland Experience for None of the Family

Crossfire X dropped onto Xbox, game pass day one in 2022. I was interested when it was announced, as I'm always looking to try new multiplayer shooters. The game is fairly simple shooter and it's reminiscent of the shooters that released in the late noughties. As soon as I launched CrossfireX I was met with the intial menu screen running at less the 10FPS on a Series X and my experience didn't get much better after that.

The closest thing the multiplayer resembles is Counter Strike, smaller maps and a lot of fighting and that is where the comparisons end, because CS has a lot to offer where CrossfireX offers a limited experience.

The player has a handful of multiplayer modes to play. The trouble is, with each of these modes there is only one map to play. These maps swiftly become dull and repetitive. It does not take long to learn the entire map, knowing where to hold and where to sneak up on the enemy. So when the enemy sneaks up on you, you'll know exactly where they are.

I was shocked to find in a game that released in 2022, was spawn camping. This is something I've not seen for years in any multiplayer game, spawning and getting killed by the opposite team is never a fun time. Modern multiplayer games developed better spawning systems so you rarely spawn into the action. CrossfireX has guns in each teams base but there are plenty of places you can hide and just kill the other team the second they walk out of their spawn, even with some manoeuvring you can easily shot into the base and kill players spawning.

Most modern multiplayer games will have a wide variety of weapons to choose from to make the experiences as unique as possible. CrossfireX offers such a limited number of weapons that each skirmish feels the same as the last. For the first hour you might have fun but you'll soon find this becomes an empty, pointless experience.

There is a total lack of progression without a battle pass, not enough to unlock for players to remain interested. I spent 10 hours playing CrossfireX and I unlocked one weapon. Which then in turn, put the game in easy mode. Once you unlock the SMG that is basically a tommy gun you can easily go on a five+ killing spree with almost no effort. Every now and again I'd play against someone with a sniper, but that is about as varied as the gameplay got in CrossfireX for me.

Players are used to some character creation or at least being able to pick a character that represents you, not in CrossfireX though! Oh no, you get a choice of picking Blandy McBlandface or man with scarf and helmet. You can only unlock other characters with the battle pass or a bunch of progression. 10 hours of play is apparently not enough to unlock any of this.

Overall CrossfireX is not a game I enjoyed, nor one I would recommend to anyone. The gameplay was so dull and clunky I didn't even bother with the single player segment of the game. It's beyond me why a brilliant studio like Remedy teamed up with this dumpster fire. If you want to play a game released in 2022 that feels like an average game from 2008 then CrossfireX is the game for you.

I'm only going to talk about the multi because I don't play solo, why? Good modern FPS, there are dozens, so even free to play other games.
so , coming back to the point , this game is terribly boring . as soon as you get to the main menu you can be hyped, the first part might seem like fun. You say to yourself "easy completion, the 50-100 matches will go quickly". Nay, you will make massacres even with the sbmm and you will not have fun. normally, when you win you take pleasure except on this game. No wonder the servers are closing.
I struggled to write 100 words so there is nothing to say.

Crossfire's modern sequel For a lot of Asian players, crossfire is almost a well-known game It also has a lot of memories for me, but due to the changes in the later stages of the game, I haven't played the earliest crossfire for a long time, and crossfirex, I've been playing for a day, he reminds me of the original crossfire, it's almost perfect for fans, whether it's gameplay, mechanics, All the same as the original crossfire, except for the more modern graphics, I see familiar weapons, characters, maps, and 笑脸兵smile (Smiley Man, referring to novices in crossfire), but I don't see 大哥 (big brother, refers to cheaters, but many cheaters in crossfire are friendly, they will give you dancelaugh)

However, some places are also terrible Bad rocker acceleration, too few maps, and no support for Chinese languages, why doesn't Smilegate add the most used language in the previous game? (Chinese subtitles and voices have been made, but it has not been added) Maybe some of you don't know, Crossfire's China's Publisher: Tencent, back in 2021 has released the PC versions of Operation Catalyst and Operation Spectre for free (yes, free, completely free), while having full localized subtitles and dubbing, and now, in crossfireX, it costs $25, There is also no full localization support. Of course, there's nothing to lose for me, I finished Operation Catalyst and Operation Spectre early on, and the lack of localization in multiplayer games doesn't affect the game either. But, way? I don't know why, but right now, I'm still enjoying multiplayer games.
